Public transport lane (Kollektivfelt)
The sign indicates that kollektivfelt begins and that the provisions of the traffic rules concerning kollektivfelt apply. A bus with up to 16 passenger seats in addition to the driver's seat may only be used in kollektivfelt when carrying out licensed passenger transport or with at least 7 passengers in addition to the driver. A taxi may only be used in kollektivfelt when the taxi is equipped with a roof light. The sign applies up to sign 510 “End of kollektivfelt” or up to the first road junction. The sign is also cancelled by direction signs indicating another use of the lane.

The sign indicates that a bus and taxi lane begins. As the driver of an ordinary passenger car, you must stay out of the lane unless a supplementary plate expressly permits its use or you need to cross the lane to turn or drive to a property.
Rules
- The lane is reserved for buses and taxis, as well as other vehicles permitted by the traffic regulations to use bus and taxi lanes, including motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles and marked emergency vehicles.
- An electric or hydrogen-powered passenger car may use the bus and taxi lane only when this is permitted by a supplementary plate.
- Other vehicles may cross the bus and taxi lane when necessary to turn off or onto the road, or to drive onto or out of a property alongside the road.
- The sign applies until sign 510 «Slutt på kollektivfelt», the first junction, or a sign indicates a different use of the lane.
- Supplementary plates may restrict the bus and taxi lane to specific times or impose additional conditions, which must be followed.

- Look early for the word «Taxi» below the bus symbol so that you do not confuse sign 508.2 with sign 508.1, which indicates a bus lane.
- Always check any supplementary plates before entering, especially if you are driving an electric or hydrogen-powered car.
